Mary Kittakah
She is currently the Clinical Programs Leader and Psychologist at True North Society, an organization that supports Military veterans to re-integrate into society after their service. True North also supports civilians upon request for psychological services. Mary has a Master’s Degree from the United States International University (USIU- Africa) and a Bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University, New Jersey, United States. Mary has a wealth of experience in Psychological Trauma. For several months in 2019, she provided psychological support for the people affected by the terrorist attack at 14 Riverside Nairobi on January 15th. She was part of the Psychosocial Response Team tasked by the National Counter-Terrorism Center immediately after the attack. She has also held a Managerial and supervisory position of trauma counselors. She worked for several years in the northern areas of Kenya leading a team of counselors to support victims of torture and war trauma.
Dr. Ama Edwin
Dr. Ama Edwin studied Medicine at the University of Ghana Medical School graduating in 1994. She has an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ghana and a Doctor of Bioethics from Loyola University, Chicago, USA. She is a well-grilled and dedicated Physician Clinical Psychologist and Bioethicist with 25 years of clinical practice in mental health, providing psychological counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and organizations. As a Physician Clinical Psychologist, she offers clinical psychological care with a physician’s background. By having a deeper understanding of the relationship between the mind and the body, she is able to integrate medical care and psychological care, thereby providing holistic care for her clients and patients. A seasoned practitioner in stress management targeting workplaces and top executives, she helps organizations with Employee Assistance Programs and Critical Incident Stress Management.
